I realized I had been spending too much time on Netflix when I started narrating my own novel (told from a female's perspective) in Dexter's (of Dexter) voice. Time to refocus on my work and avoid all the TV dramas...
And avoid CW's Beauty and the Beast if at all possible. *turns into a lion* That's just my two cents.

NaNoWriMo
Hahaha. Hahaha. Yeah.
For those of you unfamiliar, NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month (Novemeber). The goal is for young writers to put their brains into high gear and to attempt to write a 50,000 word novel.
I've participated in it in years past and have thus far failed to ever meet the goal. 30,000 was the closest I ever came. This year is not looking any more promising.
But that is alright! Because the important thing is steady progress. So I didn't write 1,600+ words yesterday. I only wrote... *checks*.... 1,200. That's okay! That's still forward motion. It's something other than beating my head against a wall in an attempt to rid myself of the dreaded writer's block.
And I'll take it!
(For first time writers, NaNoWriMo is really a great kick in the butt to get you going. I highly recommend it!)

Technopathy?
I used to think that if I could have any superpower I wanted, I would have chosen the ability to stop time, or to consume endless calories without ever gaining weight. I have since discovered a new, more appealing possibility:
The ability to project my thoughts into other drivers' car radios.
It could be used for small acts of kindness...
"You left your blinker on!" or "Your trunk isn't closed all the way."
It could be educational...
"Pardon me, good sir or madam, but do you realize that what you have just done is not only dangerous, but highly illegal?"
Then it could be used for more realistic purposes....
"HOW DO YOU OWN A LICENSE?!?!?" and "GET OFF THE ROAD, YOU $g&%$f^@b%zk!*!!!!"
